BIO: Emma Slater is a professional dancer and choreographer, best known for her work on Dancing With the Stars. Slater began training in ballroom and Latin American dance at the age of 10. In her youth, she competitively danced, earning titles like British Under 21 Latin American Championships at the Blackpool Closed 2005, United Kingdom Under 21 Latin American Championships at the Bournemouth Pavilions, England and more.Ahead of Dancing With the Stars, Slater appeared in various UK touring theater shows, such as Simply Ballroom, Cuban Groove, Dirty Dancing, and more. She was also a part of the Universal Pictures film, Mamma Mia!
Slater joined the cast of Dancing With The Stars in season 14 (2012). Before she joined the cast, she met fellow dancer, Sasha Farber, they dated from 2011 to 2014. After spending some time apart, the couple rekindled in 2015, got engaged in 2016, and got married in 2018. The couple reportedly split in April 2022, Slater filed for divorce in February 2023.
